Ironic Twist
seeking irony, because sarcasm clashes with my outfit

Former blogger M.O. sent me a link to a quiz he created to test his friends' knowledge on the subject of, well, M.O. himself. It was fun, so I recommend that you go and create a quiz to see who knows you best and who's just faking it.
Another former blogger, rhinestonegirl, has long been recommending Boston band Apollo Sunshine, who happen to be playing at Velvet Lounge in D.C. this Saturday.
And yet one more recommendation: check out DC SOB's DC-inspired haikus.
The American IdolFinal 12 was finalized last night. If we've learned anything from past American Idol seasons, it's that America's voting is wildly unpredictable. So, my current faves are Amy Adams and Jon Peter Lewis, but I'm not predicting anything. I just like them because they're goofier than the other contestants.

Thank you, rj3, for your continued support of Seeking Irony's Quizno's obsession.
From the Star-Ledger article linked above:
Johnson [owner of a Quiznos franchise in Mobile, Ala.] and her colleagues were not sure if the critters were rats, squirrels or fuzzy potatoes.
...
Franchisees said business hasn't been the same since. Johnson said she receives dozens of calls each day from offended customers. "One man threatened to knock my head off if we didn't stop" running the ads, she said. Another said they gave his daughter nightmares."
...
"The majority of people are disgusted by it. The young folks are open minded," said [Ken] Patel, who took over the franchise last month. "They come in and ask questions about it, come in singing the song."
